Q. I have set up a subtotal discount using Promo 1 and macro 1F57 but when
I try and apply the discount only the discount text appears on the screen and
the discount is not applied.

A. This was due to the PLU not having a Vat rate associated with it

A. Yes, this is possible. Simply press the Markdown Macro after pressing the
Service Charge (Surcharge) macro.

A. This is because non of the items were set as discountable within VPM -
Products.

A. You need to enable the 'Apply Vat' option for each promotion in VPM -
Promotions

Q. I have setup reason codes for voids, how can I get a reasons report for
voids.

A. Venta Main Menu - Reports - under the current session sales will be a
button called reasons report. (this only appears if a void and reason code
entry has been performed)
