Q. What is the macro setting for selecting items within the Venta Main Menu?

A. To select a button from the Venta Main menu use XM followed by the
button number. Ie

End Of Day = XM1

Close/Open Session = XM2

Trading = XM3

Paid In = XM4

Paid Out = XM5

Reports = XM6

Update Local Database = XM7

Set date & time = XM8

Assign Preset server = XM9

Utilities = XM10

System Shutdown = XM11

Secure = XM12

Also to get back from the utilities menu the back button is XM0

2.18 Discounts
Q. When I try and discount my food items the discount is not applied and the
machine beeps.

A. This is because the items where not bet for discountable within VPM –
Configure - Products

2.19 Realtime Loyalty
Q. When I try and perform a “Full Pay” using a loyalty payment method, If I
enter an amount I get the message “You must not enter a value for full
payment” Part payments are working ok.

A. Within VPM – PAYMENTS -, 14 – LOYALTY remove the TENDER option tick
box

2.20 Zero priced item export
Q. Is it possible to export zero priced items through the CASHRSP file.

A. Yes - To allow this enter a price for one of the other price bands that is not
being used.

2.21 room entry and loyalty swipe
Q. Is it possible to use track 2 of the magnetic card for room entry and also
loyalty.

A. Yes – you need to write both sets of data to track 2 (maximum 40 digits)
ensure the room data appears 1

 on track 2. Then within VPM-Configure –

Loyalty- Format you need to use ??????????????? for the loyalty card to
ignore the 1

 15 digits which is the room data.
