  Slow operation

Q. The master machine is going very slow at the beginning and at the end of
a transaction.

A. This was because in VPM - System Configuration there is a ‘Master Backup
till’ set and the till was switched off. This setting does not work set the
‘Master Backup till’ to 0

3. Servers

3.1 Server Preset
Q. I have added a new slave machine to my VentaPro system and
updated used the database using the ‘Update Local Database’ option.
When I try and sign on using the Preset Server keys on the logged
off screen nothing happens.

A. You need to Re-assign the preset servers on the Slave machine
From the Manager screen (Venta Main Menu) -
Assign Preset Server option.

4 Backup and Restore

4.1 Converting S98/S2001 data.
Q. I have converted my existing S98/S2001 program
to the new VentaPro software, using the ‘S98/S2001 System’
option within Data Transfer wizard in VPM.
