2.4 Creating Products by range
Q. What is the easiest and fastest way of creating lots of Products.

A. Go to Batch Entry, from here either select a PLU from your existing data.

This will be used as a template

2.5 Active tables
Q. Using the ‘Active Table’ function. When I print a bill
and go back into the ‘Active Tables’ screen the table button has
disappeared I am using the default colours set in within
C:\Vapp\Data\Till001\S2001.ini file.

A. You need to change the colour setting to be as follows in the
C:\Vapp\Data\Till001\S2001.ini file.

TABLECOLS= 9 5 4

2.6 Pos User Menu
Q. I am using long file names in the “Button Command” section
to configure a “User defined button” within the Manager Utility Menu.
But when I select UPDATE then CLOSE the setting disappears.

A. You need to enter the ‘Button Command’ using the dos short name.
      

I.e.
C:\Program Files\thirdparty.exe should be entered as
C:\Progra~1\thirdp~1.exe

2.7 Floor View
Q. How do I remove the ‘FLOOR VIEW’ button from the Trading Screen.

A. You need to remove the ‘Floors’ folder within C:\Vapp

2.8 Floor View
Q. Can I set the machine to automatically show the ‘Floor View’ screen when
the server signs on.

A. Create a Macro “F89” and then within VPM- Configuration – Servers
assign this macro as the “Logon Macro” this will then display the Floor view
screen at sign on.

2.9 Price bands
Q. When I set the machine to price band 2 using Function 91, The machine
reverts back to price band 1 when I go back into trading.

A. There may be a conflicting setting with Timeplans
