1.CONFIGURING THE WINDOWS XP ‘TCP/IP NETWORK IP ADDRESS
1.
  Click Start – Control Panel – ‘Network and Internet connection’s – then from the ‘or pick a
control panel icon’ area select ‘Network Connections’.
2.
  Within ‘Network Connections’ – ‘LAN or High-speed Internet’ – right click the ‘Local Area
Connection’ icon  using the mouse or press ALT  +  F10  on  the  keyboard.    From  the  drop
down list select Properties.
3.
  Highlight ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’ and select Properties. As shown above.
4.
  Select ‘Use the following IP address’ and then enter the required IP address and Subnet
mask for your system and click ‘OK’. NOTE The Sharp POS software default IP Address is
192.168.199.1
5.
  Select Close.

2. INSTALLING THE UP-9900V OPOS DRIVERS V1.12
Before installing the Sharp POS Software it is important to ensure that the V1.12 Opos drivers are
installed.
2.1 Verifying the Opos driver version
To check the currently installed version of Opos drivers, Select - Control Panel – ‘Add or Remove
Programs’
If the Opos drivers are version 1.5.3 they will need to be removed and replaced with the latest 1.12
version.  Follow the following procedure on how to remove and install the Opos drivers
