Image orientation and standard original loading orientation
When using the platen glass, the original should be placed face down in the far left corner of the
glass, with the top of the original to the left.
When using the optional Reversing Single Pass Feeder (RSPF) or Single Pass Feeder (SPF), the
original should be placed face up in the middle of the tray, with the top of the original to the right.

Long horizontal originals of size A3, B4, 11" x 17", or 8-1/2" x 14" can only be placed as shown
below. For this reason, the scanned image will be rotated 90° when viewed on a computer.
