1. 

Power off the copier and remove the desk unit power source cover 

 

 

2. 

Connect the PC and the Level Converter desk unit serial I/F connector to the 
Level converter. 

 

 

3. 

Start Windows.  
Within the “Windows” device manager, double click the “Communications Port” to  
be used and under “Port setup”, check the communication speed is set to 
384000 bits/sec. 

 

4. 

Turn on the copier. Within the Copier LCD, enter Simulation 49-10  

 

 

 

5. 

Start the Maintenance program on the PC side. 

 

6. 

Select the communication speed (baud rate) on the option menu and set the speed to 
384000 bits/sec.
