• Exposure date and time
Exposure date and time data can be recorded by image.
With the DSC-F1, by setting the clock, the exposure data and time can be recorded automatically. As the exposure time date
is transferred together with the image data during data transfer from the DSC-F1, images can be printed by the DPP-M55 with
the date and time.
• Rotation of images
Image data can be recorded as data rotated by 90°. The playback image rotation function rotates images by rewriting this
data, and does not correct it.
During data transfer, the rotation data is transferred together with the image data. Consequently, the LCD of the DSC-F1 is
reversed up-side down when transferring image data exposed in a face-to-face exposure, but the images are automatically
corrected by the rotation data when images are played back.
(3) Functions not available with one DSC-F1
• Album...Provided in software for DSC-F1
The groups of image data are managed in units called album.
Using the software provided, up to 200 images can be registered for Windows in the album, and an infinite number of
images can be registered for Mackintosh.
It can establish each cover image and title.
These data is transferable to DSC-F1.
• Comment...Provided in software for DSC-F1
When image data is transferred to the PC, comments can be recorded for each image.
For the comments written with the software provided with the DSC-F1, the maximum number of characters is 9 for two
bytes and 19 for one byte.
This comment is transferred together with the image data during data transfer.

Structure of Album Data File
When transferring all camera images to the PC at one time, the image data is managed as an album.
When albums are created, a directory called PIC_CAM is created, in which image data is recorded.
The PIC_CAM contains the album directory and two total files.
(1) PIC_CAM files
• OV_INF.PMF
Total information management file. Manages information such as the total number of albums.
• OV_IDX.PMX
Total index file of album. Records index images of the album.
(2) Album directory (From PIC00000)
Directory storing the album image information. The five digit suffix numbers of the directory are incremented and several
directories are created according to the number of albums created in PIC_CAM directory.
E.g. PIC00000, PIC00001,...
The album directory contains the following files.
• PIC_INF.PMF
The image data management file. Stores the album name.
• PIDX000.PMX
Image index file. Contains the index images of the picture list.
When there are too many index images to fit one file, several files with incremented three digit file name suffix number are
created.
• PSN00000.PMP
Image data file. One picture data.
Several files with incremented five digit file name suffix number are created according to the number of pictures.
