(4) Input/Output Circuit of Connection Cable
Image data can be transmitted from the DIGITAL I/O terminal using connection cables.
Fig. 1-13 Digital Input/Output Circuit
Compressed MD data format image data stored in the image memory (IC771) is read, converted to RS232C signal data
inside the main microprocessor (IC602), and output to the RS232C driver (IC601).
The RS232C driver (IC601) is a level converter which converts the voltage for the microprocessor (IC602) and input/output
voltage for the digital I/O terminal.
It therefore raises the signal output from the main microprocessor (0 to 3V) to the voltage for digital I/O communication
(approx. ±5V), and outputs it to the digital I/O terminal. During signal input, it lowers the digital I/O terminal input voltage
(approx. ±10V), and outputs to the main microprocessor.
(Reference) Connection with modem
As DSC-F1 is intended for connecting to PC, data transmission may not be possible if connected to a modem.
When connecting to a modem, first send the data from DSC-F1 to the PC, and then connect the modem to the PC and
transmit the data.
