5. Audio Output Circuit

The four lines of digital audio signals that are bundled for every two channels of output from
Mute (IC2511) are divided into signals for the line output and for the speaker output.
(1) Line output
(P.29)
(i) Digital output
The digital signal for the line output is input to the D/A converter (IC2901), and output as the
analog signal of up to 7.1ch depending on the mode. Then, it is output to the audio switch (IC1205)
via LPFs (IC1206, IC1207, IC1208, and IC1209).
For the analog signal for front L/R, the audio that is mixed with the center/subwoofer audio is
selected at the switch (IC1202) depending on the playback mode.
Then, the analog audio signal of each channel output from the audio switch (IC1205) is output to
the PRE OUT terminal via the volumes (IC1302, IC1305, IC1307, and IC1313) and the line
amplifiers (IC1303, IC1306, IC1308, and IC1314).
The relays (RY1301, RY1302, RY1303, and RY1304) are switched by the PREOUT signal
(IC1330 4-pin) that has been converted from the DATA signal output from the Main (IC2601 37-pin)
at the data decoders (IC1332 and IC1330).
Note that the front L/R signal is output to the headphone terminal via the headphone amplifier
(IC1315).
(ii) Outputting the analog multi-input

The 7.1ch analog signal from the analog multi-input terminal is input to the audio switch
(IC1205).
The 7.1ch analog audio signal selected by the audio switch (IC1205) is output to the PREOUT
terminal via the volumes (IC1302, IC1305, IC1307, and IC1313) and the line amplifiers (IC1303,
IC1306, IC1308, and IC1314).
Relays (RY1301, RY1302, RY1303, and RY1304) are switched by the PREOUT signal (IC1330
4-pin) that has been converted from the DATA signal output from the Main (IC2601 37-pin) at the
data decoders (IC1332 and IC1330).
Note that the front L and R signals are output to the headphone terminal via the headphone
amplifier (IC1315).
(2) Speaker output

The digital audio signal for the speaker output has been converted to the analog audio signal by
the PCM/PWM processors (IC1504, IC1505, IC1516, and IC1517) and the digital power amplifiers
