3. Audio Input Circuit
(1) Analog audio input

When an input source is selected with the input selector on the front side of the unit, analog audio
input is switched by the DATA signal output from the main system controller (IC2601 38-pin) being
input to the input selectors (IC1015, IC105, and IC102) via the level shifters (IC122 and IC1001).
(i) 2ch analog signal
• Selecting the audio signal for output from Speaker/PRE OUT

The signals from VIDEO1-4, LD IN, DVD IN, TV/SAT IN, and AUDIO VIDEO5 INPUT are
selected by the selector (IC1015) and output from the MAIN AVL terminal (IC1015 15-pin) to the
selector (IC105).
Furthermore, the signals from PHONO IN, TUNER IN, TAPE IN, MD/DAT IN, and CD/SACD
IN are input to the selector (IC105), and the signals that are output from Speaker/PRE OUT are
selected and output from the DSD terminal (IC105 15-pin).
• Converting to digital audio signals

The 2ch analog audio signal selected by the selectors (IC1015 and IC105) is input to the A/D
converter (IC2001) via the amplifiers (IC112 and IC123). The input audio signal that is converted
into PCM digital signal by the A/D converter (IC2001) is output to the digital signal selector
(IC2206).
• Switching signals to an output terminal

If an input source is selected by REC OUT SELECTOR, the analog 2ch input signal is input to the
selector (IC105) through the same signal path as the Speaker/PRE OUT output. Only the selected
2ch analog audio signal is amplified by the amplifier (IC106).
Then, the TAPE and MD/DAT terminal outputs are output from the selector (IC105). The output
to the VIDEO 1-3 terminals is executed from the AV OUT terminal (IC105 16-pin) via the selector
(IC1015).
Note that in order to avoid looping of the signal, the output that is the same as the selected input
source is turned off at the switches (IC105 and IC1015). For example, if TAPE IN is selected by
REC OUT SELECTOR, TAPE OUT is muted instead of being output.
(ii) Multi-channel signal
