1.5 “IP Address Not in Netmap”
Q. When I start the Venta S2005 application I get the IP Address not in
netmap message and the venta pro does not start.

A. This could be caused by the following

When the application starts it is looking for an IP address that is referenced in
the following file c:\vapp\netmap.txt.
To overcome this ensure that the IP address of the local area network
connection matches the first line of the netmap.txt
Eg.
1 

192.168.0.1 (Till1)

2 

192.168.0.2 (till2)

ensure that the X500 has an active connection using a HUB or loopback

If your X500 is already set as 192.168.0.1 then just connect a hub (or
loopback connector) to the LAN port and everything should be ok.

1.6 “Using Local Host Venta is Unregistered”
Q. When I start the Venta S2005 application I get the “Using Local Host
Venta is Unregistered” message and Venta pro will only run in unregistered
mode.

A. This is because you are using the following ipaddress 127.0.0.1 within
c:\vapp\Netmap.txt this address is not supported by Venta Pro V3.

1.7. EFT not working correctly
Q. I am setting up ocius for PC but when I press the credit key it asks me to
swipe the card

A. This was because Venta Pro had been licenced without the EFT OCius
option.

1.8. Mouse pointer / cursor
Q. Once I had the Venta F/E application running on my PC the mouse would
not operate within the Venta screen.

A. To resolve this follow these steps
1. Right click the VentaS2005 icon on your desktop
2. select properties
3. Change the switches in the following line to remove the /c from the end of
the text line after the change your target should read
C:\Vapp\Exe\S2005.exe/bc\Vapp /s2

1.9. Application Shutdown
Q. How do you close or exit the venta program from your PC without shutting
down the PC?

A. DO NOT SELECT SHUTDOWN from Venta screen this will shut your
computer down!, Select ALT and F10
