2-7. Thermal Head

Remove the upper cabinet assembly. (Refer to Section
1-2-1.)

Remove the front panel assembly. (Refer to Section 1-

Remove the DK-42 board. (Refer to Section 2-2-3.)

Remove the MD-42 board. (Refer to Section 2-1-3.)

Remove the mechanical deck assembly. (Refer to
Section 2-5.)

Remove the DC fan. (Refer to Section 2-2.)
8.
Pull out the portion A of the connector on the thermal
head in the direction indicated by the arrows, then
disconnect the flexible flat cables.

Remove the two screws, then remove the thermal
head.

10. Remove the center shim placed in between the thermal
head and the heat sink.
11. Attach a thermal head in the reverse order of steps 1 to

paper feed frame assembly from the chassis assembly
in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Attach a paper feed frame assembly in the reverse
order of steps 1 to 8.
