MX-FN27 N, MX-PN14  OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION  6 – 13
(2)
Staple-Free Staple Unit
The clinch arm moves down to clinch when the cam driven by the Clinch motor (FNM9) rotates once. The wavy upper teeth of the clinch arm is
pressed against the lower teeth to crimp the paper together.
The cam's home position is detected by the Clinch home position sensor (FNPS15).
If the Clinch home position sensor (FNPS15) is off, the finisher controller PCB runs the Clinch motor (FNM9) until the Clinch home position sensor
(FNPS15) turns on and resets the cam to its initial state.
If an error occurs in the staple-free staple unit, a jam code is displayed on the host machine's operation panel, and the operation stops. The limited
function message of the staple-free stapling is shown on the host machine's operation panel, at the same time.
When a jam occurs again, a trouble code is also sent to the host machine.

When the operation is continued, 5 sheets are delivered in a stack without stapling and the 6th sheet is delivered by itself.  And, the second stapling
papers also delivered by itself.
When the operation is canceled, 5 sheets are delivered in a stack without stapling and operation is finished.
