B. AR-EB8 installing procedure
<Before installation>
Check to insure that the data lamp on the operation panel is

(1) Turn OFF the main switch of the printer.

(2) Remove the printer controller unit.
Remove the printer controller fixing screws (4 pcs.) from the rear

(3) Install the AR-EB8 PWB to the printer control PWB.
Install the AR-EB8 (scanner interface board) to the position shown
on the printer control PWB unit.

1) Remove the fixing screw shown in the figure, and install the
supporter (hex screw) packed together with the unit.
2) Install so that the AR-EB8 PWB connector is engaged with the
scanner I/F connecter as shown in the figure.
3) Fix the AR-EB8 (scanner interface board) with the screw
removed in procedure 1).
NOTE: Note that the hex screw is attached to the AR-EB8 pack-
ing material with adhesive tape.
(4) Install the printer control PWB.
Install the printer control PWB unit to the printer body, and fix it
with the removed fixing screws (4 pcs.).
