UP-X500
Wireless Network Cards.
Model Name
UP-X500. & PCMCIA Wireless Network Cards.
General
The UP-X500 can run wirelessly using PCMCIA Wireless Network Cards.
The UP-X500 has 2 x PCMCIA Type II card slots or 1 x PCMCIA Type III card slot, if a
Type III card is used then no other PCMCIA cards can be used.
Phenomenon
As there are a number of PCMCIA Wireless Network Cards available on the market
Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd have taken a selection of top branded PCMCIA Wireless
Network Cards.
Remedy
Sharp Electronics (UK) Ltd recommend the following
PCMCIA Wireless Network Cards for the UP-X500.
Netgear MA521 - 802.11b up to 11Mbps (16 bit Type II Card)
Netgear WAG511 - 802.11a/g up to 108Mbps (32 Bit Cardbus Adaptor) Type III Card
