The following are cable specifications for the UP-X500 running
Windows operating systems Windows XP Home Windows XP Pro and
Windows 2000.
3. Phenomenon
The Straight Through, Cross Over and Loop Back cable specifications
are show below.
RJ45 Straight Through Cable - This is your standard lead for connecting a PC to a hub or
switch, usually called a 'Patch Lead' or a 'Drop Lead'. As the name suggests the wires are the

RJ45 Cross Over (X-Over) Cable - This is lead that you will need when you are
connecting two computers / terminals together and you don't have a hub or switch. The

RJ45 Loop Back Cable / Plug - This is sort of a cable but not quite, really just a plug for
testing your network card or making the network card think that it is connected to a hub or a
