This ends the explanation for the keyboard file.
Again to end this section press the end key until the sub menu appears.
You can then look at the next area which is keyboard macro, or screen
Macro’s on the UP5700.
There is a set of macro’s for each keyboard, therefore there can be up
to nine for the 850 or 880 and up to 99 for the UP5700.
Select the keyboard number or screen number you want to assign the
macro to.
You will notice, there is an example at the top of the screen within
brackets, this is to let you know that the function or list keys etc. have to
be separated by a comma when they are entered.
For example to set up a £10 fast cash tender key which would consist
of subtotal 1000 cash, you would enter F5 comma 1000 comma F18.
Any key that can be pressed on the keyboard can be part of a macro.
This makes the macro’s very flexible.
After pressing end to complete the macro key programming area we
should be back at the sub menu.
We will now select pre-set products.
There are a 99 pre-sets for each keyboard or screen.
The pre-set number can be between 0 and 98 then you assign a
product code to the pre-set. When you assign the product code the text
of the product will be displayed, this will confirm you have made the right
choice.
You could then allocate this pre-set to the keyboard.
If 99 pre-sets is not enough then you can set up extra macro keys that
appear as presets to the Server.
The list file is the next choice from the programming menu.
The lists vary on the touch screen EPoS and the 850 pad type
