46. Real Keys 
Q. The Real Clerk key is not being recognised even though the Clerk has been 

programmed it is recognised as a pre-set or code.  

A. This is because if you have not programmed a key number against this clerk 
go into PGM for clerk settings and allocate a key number.  

 
47. Real Keys 
Q. Is it possible to set up a Real Clerk key with extra authority (entry to PGM 
etc) and also on the same machine have Clerk pre-set buttons on the keyboard 

for standard operators.  

A. Yes, because the Clerk system allows for any combination of type. So you 
could set up some operators as pre-sets and one clerk as real key.  

 
48. Clerk & Cashiers 
Q. Is it possible to have a Clerk and Cashier system on the Till; I want an AM 

and PM breakdown for reporting but would like to use the real keys for the 
different shifts.  

A. Yes, the Clerks would have to be the Real keys (Cashiers cannot be real keys) 
create both files, and allocate push Cashiers on keyboard. 

When a combination of Clerk and Cashiers are used the CCD is valid for 
Cashiers not Clerks.  
 

49. Customer Accounts 
Q. Can the Magnetic Card Reader be used to call up Customer Accounts?  

A. Yes the Magnetic Card Reader can be used to program in your customer 

accounts and then recalled by swiping the card through.  

 
50. Customer Accounts 
Q. If using magnetic stripe cards for customer accounts does the card details 

such as name & address need to be pre programmed into the machine.  

A. No. 
As the card is swiped for the first time, the machine will ask for the name & 

address details; these will then be stored in the POS memory.  

Q. Is it possible to start a transaction then transfer this to a Customer account 

A. Yes. 
There is no additional programming required, you simply start the transaction 
then press the Customer Account key.
