Base Unit.
                     Orderman Menu Card Designer
                     Orderman OSC
1)  Start by creating your layout using the Menu Card Designer.

2)  After the keyboard has been created you can now save this layout as it will be needed for the
next procedure.  You can also at this stage print the keyboard sheet.
3)  Start Orderman OSC and click the Upload Get button. (You must have the Orderman base
connected to the com port of the PC and the Orderman base must also have the UP-800
program data already downloaded to it from the UP-800)
4)  Once the data has been uploaded from the Orderman base you will now need to import your
layout into OSC.  To do this, click on Actions > Import
5)  Locate the Menu Card .bly file that you created with the Menu Card Designer program and
import.
6)  Once imported, click on PLU/Scancode Assignment where you will then be able to drag and
drop PLUs and PLU Menus to the appropriate keys.

7)  Simply drag and drop the Article (PLU) from the bottom right window to the appropriate PLU
Text column.
The same Drag and Drop procedure is used for PLU Menus which are labelled as “Look up
PLUs”.
8)  Once all of the PLUs and Menus have been placed correctly you can save the configuration
file as a .XML file. Once complete, the layout can now be downloaded back to the Orderman
base unit.
9)  Ensure that the Orderman base unit is plugged into the PC and then click on Download
(Send).  The new layout data will be sent to the Base unit.
10) Power cycle the Orderman terminal for the new data to be uploaded to the terminal.
