PROGRAMMING STATIONS
AUTOMATICALLY
The tuner is capable of storing all
stations with acceptable signal strength
automatically.
1. Hold MEMORY button 
7 pressed for
min. 3 seconds.
2. The tuner will scan the FM band from
the low to the high end and store one
station after another with sufficient
signal strength under the flashing preset
number.
3. If more than 30 strong stations are
received (all presets are filled before the
end of the FM band, 108,00 MHz),
press RF MODE 
^ until the LOCAL
indicator is lit and repeat the auto store
process.
PROGRAMMING STATIONS
MANUALLY
The TU940 is capable of storing up to 30
stations for direct access. To enter the
stations to memory, follow these steps:
1. Tune the desired station using one of
the methods described above. Set the
RF MODE, IF BAND and FM MODE
functions as desired.
2. Press MEMORY 
7. Note that the
MEMORY indicator will light and it will
blink along with the PRESET indicator
in the display.
3. Within 5 seconds, enter the desired
memory location using the NUMBER
keys 
2 on the front panel.
NOTE: Enter memory locations 1 – 9 by
simply pressing the number desired. Enter
locations 10 through 30 by first pressing 1,
2 or 3, and then pressing the second digit
within three seconds.
DIRECT RECALL OF PRESET
STATIONS
To directly select a stored station, press
the NUMBER keys 
2 that correspond to
the location of the stored station. The
memory location will appear on the front
panel display and the tuner will switch to
the selected station.
NOTE: When preset 1, 2, or 3 is selected,
the station will be tuned after a pause of 3
seconds. When selecting a station stored
in locations 10 through 30, it is important
to press the two numbers in quick
sequence. Pausing for more than 3
seconds will cause an incorrect station to
be selected.
MANUAL SCAN OF PRESET
STATIONS
To manually scan through the preset
stations, follow these steps:
1. Press TUNE/P.SET 
8 until the
PRESET indicator lights.
2. Turn the TUNING knob 
) slightly.
The tuner will move to the next or
previous preset memory location.
3. Turn the knob again to move to the
next higher or lower preset.
4. To return to normal tuning, press
TUNE/P.SET 
8 again until the TUNING
indicator lights.
