Operation
BAND SELECTION
Press Band 
4 to choose the FM or AM
frequency band.
AUTOMATIC TUNING
When signals are strong, it is possible to
quickly and automatically scan all
stations.
1. Press AUTO/MAN 
&, so that the
AUTO indicator lights up.
2. Turn the TUNING knob 
) slightly to
the left or right. Tuning will start
automatically and the unit will stop at
the next station with sufficient signal
strength.
3. If another station is desired, turn the
tuning knob again and the tuner will
scan for the next station.
NOTE: When the end of a tuning band is
reached, tuning begins automatically at
the beginning of the same frequency
band.
MANUAL TUNING
When signal strength does not permit
automatic tuning of stations, use the
manual tuning method.
1. Press AUTO/MAN 
&, so that the
AUTO indicator goes off.
2. Turn the TUNING knob 
) clockwise or
counterclockwise to tune to stations
with increasing or decreasing frequen-
cy, respectively. Moving the tuning
knob continuously will change the
frequency faster. Once the desired
frequency is reached, turn the tuning
knob slowly until the desired station is
tuned.
NOTE: To listen to weak FM stations,
press FM MODE 
%, so that the MONO
indicator goes on. Press RF MODE 
^,
so that the LOCAL indicator goes off.
DIRECT TUNING
Stations may also be tuned directly by
pressing DIRECT 
#, and then pressing
the NUMERIC keys 
2 that correspond
to the station’s frequency, f.e. 8800 for
88.00 MHz or 10280 for 102.80 MHz. As
soon as all numbers are entered, the
station is tuned automatically.
