For the location of each key, refer to Section 3-1.

Trouble: No video signal is output. (No screen is displayed on the monitor.)

Remedy:

. Confirm the flexible flat cable (DK-UV) and connector.
. Confirm IC101 and IC114 on the DK-46 board, and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm J431 on the UV-46 board and peripheral circuit.

Trouble: No Memory Stick image can be read.
Remedy:

. Confirm that the Input select key on the operation panel of this unit is set to Memory Stick.
. Confirm the flexible flat cable (DK-MC) and connector.
. Confirm the harness (MC-46) and connector.
. Confirm CN502 on the MC-46 board and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm IC101 on the DK-46 board and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm that the image in the Memory Stick is based on the compatible file format.
. Confirm that the Memory Stick operates correctly.

Trouble: No Compact Flash image can be read.

Remedy:

. Confirm that the Input select key on the operation panel of this unit is set to Compact Flash.
. Confirm the flexible flat cable (DK-MC) and connector.
. Confirm the harness (MC-46) and connector.
. Confirm CN451 on the MC-46 board and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm IC101 and IC301 to IC308 on the DK-46 board, and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm that the image in the Compact Flash is based on the compatible file format.
. Confirm that the Compact Flash operates correctly.

Trouble: This unit is not recognized by the personal computer
Remedy:

. Confirm the flexible flat cable (DK-UV) and connector.
. Confirm IC101 on the DK-46 board and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm CN432 on the UV-46 board and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm the communication by “USB Test” in the service mode. (Refer to Section 3-6.)

Trouble: This unit is not recognized by the camera compatible with PictBridge.

. Confirm IC101, IC112 and CN402 on the DK-46 board, and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm that the camera is compatible with PictBridge.
. Confirm the communication by “USB Test” in the service mode. (Refer to Section 3-6.)

Trouble: Keys on the operation panel cannot be operated.

Remedy:

. Confirm the flexible flat cable (DK-SW) and connector.
. Confirm IC201 on the DK-46 board and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm the key operation by “Button Test” in the service mode. (Refer to Section 3-5.)

Trouble: LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) displays nothing.
Remedy:

. Confirm the flexible flat cable (DK-SW) and connector.
. Confirm IC101 on the DK-46 board and peripheral circuit.
. Confirm the LCD operation by “Button Test” in the service mode. (Refer to Section 3-5.)
