You can specify the recorded still image to print
out by putting marks. This function is useful for
printing out still images later.
Your camcorder conforms with the DPOF
(Digital Print Order Format) standard for
specifying the still images to print out.
Before operation
Insert a “Memory Stick” into your camcorder.
(1) Set the POWER switch to MEMORY. Make
sure that the LOCK is set to the right (unlock)
position.
(2) Press INDEX on your camcorder to display
the index.
(3) Press 
 MARK. The screen to write a print
mark appears.
(4) Press the image you want to write a print
mark. The 
 appears on the selected image.
To return to FN
Press EXIT.
To cancel writing print marks
Press the image you want to cancel the print
mark in step 4 again . The 
 disappears.

Вы можете указать записанные неподвижные
изображения для распечатки, помечая их
знаками. Эта функция является полезной
для распечатки неподвижных изображений
позже.
Ваша видеокамера удовлетворяет стандарту
DPOF (цифровому формату
последовательной распечатки) для указания
неподвижных изображений для распечатки.
Перед началом работы
Вставьте “Memory Stick” в Вашу видеокамеру.
(1) Установите переключатель POWER в
положение MEMORY. Убедитесь, что
фиксатор LOCK установлен в правое
(незафиксированное) положение.
(2) Нажмите кнопку INDEX на Вашей
видеокамере для отображения индексного
экрана.
(3) Нажмите кнопку 
 MARK. Появится
экран для записи печатного знака.
(4) Нажмите изображение, на котором Вы
хотите записать печатный знак. Знак 
появится на выбранном изображении.
Для возврата в положение FN
Нажмите кнопку EXIT.
Для отмены записи печатных знаков
В пункте 4 нажмите изображение, для
которого Вы хотите отменить печатный знак
еще раз. Индикация 
 исчезнет.

If you run into any problem using your camcorder, use the following table to troubleshoot the
problem. If the problem persists, disconnect the power source and contact your Sony dealer. If
“C:ss:ss” appears on the screen, the self-diagnosis display function has worked. See page 213.
In the recording mode

• The POWER switch is not set to CAMERA.
c Set it to CAMERA (p. 30).
• The tape has run out.
c Rewind the tape or insert a new one (p. 27, 50).
• The write-protect tab is set to expose the red mark.
c Use a new tape or slide the tab (p. 27).
• The tape is stuck to the drum (moisture condensation).
c Remove the cassette and leave your camcorder for at least  1
hour to acclimatize (p. 234).
• While being operated in CAMERA mode, your camcorder has
been in the standby mode for more than 5 minutes.
c Set the POWER switch to OFF (CHARGE) and then to
CAMERA (p. 30).
• The battery pack is dead or nearly dead.
c Install a fully charged battery pack.
• Viewfinder is not extended to the end.
c Pull out the viewfinder.
• The viewfinder lens is not adjusted.
c Adjust the viewfinder lens (p. 36).
• STEADYSHOT is set to OFF in the menu settings.
c Set it to ON (p. 134).
• The setting is the manual focus mode.
c Press FOCUS to set to the auto focus mode (p. 76).
• Shooting conditions are not suitable for autofocus.
c Adjust to focus manually (p. 76).
• The LCD panel is open.
c Close the LCD panel (p. 33).
• The contrast between the subject and background is too high.
This is not a malfunction.

• Slow shutter, low lux or Super NightShot mode is activated.

without a cassette inserted, your camcorder automatically
starts the demonstration.

• NIGHTSHOT is set to ON.
