LINEAR  POSITION  SENSOR  ADJUSTMENT
Notes:
1. When the elevator height is adjusted as part of any repairs, the
linear position sensor (RV601) must be adjusted.
This adjustment is for absorbing the variation in the perfor-
mance of the RV601 parts and is not a mechanical deck
adjustment. Therefore, this adjustment is only carried out when
the mechanical deck elevator height adjustment (Address 1
adjustment) is made.
2. Never supply power to the set main unit during this
adjustment.(Have the bus cable disconnected.)
Connection:
Adjustment method:
1. Extend the plate holding down the RV601 slider with radial
pliers to free the slider.
2. Connect the TP (VREF) on the servo board to a dc power sup-
ply.
3. Connect the TP (EHS) on the servo board to a digital voltme-
ter.
4. Supply 5.00 ± 0.01 V power from the dc power supply to the
TP (VREF).
5. Turn the adjustment screw so that the digital voltmeter reads
4.03 ± 0.02 V.
6. After the adjustment, disconnect the dc power supply and the
digital voltmeter.
7. Apply the power supply to the set main unit, insert the maga-
zine, operate, and check that there is no address deviation.
8. Bend the retainer plate back the way it was originally.
9. Apply suitable locking compound to the adjustment screw.
* After adjusting the linear position sensor (RV601) , put in
the magazine and operate. If address deviation is found, re-
check the elevator height adjustment (Elevator Address 1 ad-
justment).
The following causes are possible.
Examples:
• The mechanical deck gear (TDFP) and magazine gear teeth
are not meshing.
• During ejection, the gear (EL1) was not in the prescribed
position.
• After magazine ejection was carried out five times, the
magazine lock was unlocked.
