Supply related 
In low humidity environments, carrier easily adheres to the rear 
surface of paper. More adequate margin for the carrier adhesion has 
been improved.

Supply related 
When judging the toner near end detection requires time, F2-02 
trouble may occur. The judgment standard has been modified to 
improve more adequate margin for the F2-02 trouble occurrence.

Supply related 
Printing lower coverage rate documents in continuous mode 
sometimes results in reduced density of printed images. Replacing old 
toner with new one in the developer tank and printing with the 
processing condition modified to be more appropriate to the lower 
coverage rate can improve the concentration reduction of printed 
images. Then the process control for responding to the “lower 
coverage rate mode” has been added. And the software SW also has 
been incorporated, which allows switching ON or OFF the lower 
coverage rate mode in printing lower coverage rate documents in 
continuous mode. The factory default setting of the software SW is 
OFF the lower coverage rate mode.

Fusing related 
When “A3,” “A3 wide,” or 300g papers of “ledger” are printed in the 
paper type “cardboard 4,” transfer slippage may occur by the impact 
of the papers going into the fusing assembly. The dual speed control 
of the fusing motor can prevent the transfer slippage. Then the 
software SW has been added, which allows switching the speed 
control to ACTIVATED or DEACTIVATED state.  
In the factory default setting of the software SW, the speed control 
has been switched to ACTIVATED state.

0: The dual speed control is ACTIVATED (in the factory default 
setting). 
1: The dual speed control is DEACTIVATED.

Image quality 
adjustment 
Entering the image quality adjustment mode during a paper-jam 
condition sometimes leads to the state where the display cannot 
return from the mode of “image quality adjustment.” Such error has 
been modified.

Off-line 
processing 
The maximum number of stapled sheets in the combination operation of Z-folding 
and stapling during the off-line processing has been changed from five to ten. 
7 
Printing speed 
improvement 
Printing speed of duplex copying has been improved for the following paper sizes. 
(1) 9 x 12 
(2) SRA4 
(3) 234 x 318 
(4) 220 x 312
