6. Countermeasures

We will take the following countermeasures:

From the middle of March 2006, we will ship machines from SMF with the "Hold settings
for a while after scanning has been completed" check box selected in the System
Settings (Administrator Mode) window.
We will also insert an errata sheet into the FAX option.

7. Request.

For the field, we request that you explain to your customers about possible occurrence of
the above symptom and ask them to clear the "Hold settings for a while after scanning
has been completed" check box.

Also please update firmware as promptly as possible.
