Installation of the AR-P15 on a Windows 9.x
Peer-Peer Network

Model Name:
AR-P15 (AR-PK3)

Pre-requisites:
AR-P15 connected to a Windows 9x Peer to Peer network,
Windows 9x OS CD-ROM
Sharp AR-P15 User Software CD-ROM (also available on SharpEye CD11)

Note:
The AR-P15 supports SMB “Point & Print” printing on a Windows 9x Peer to Peer
network. If the AR-P15 and the workstations are on different subnet of the network,
the use of WINS servers or a Port Redirector on each workstation will be required for
printing, if the routers do not allow NetBIOS broadcast traffic to pass through.
By default, routers normally block this type of network traffic.

Items in italics indicate icons, buttons, or menu options during installation.

Procedure:

This installation consists of four separate tasks:

(1)  Setup of the Windows 9x Workstation.

(2)  Setup of the AR-P15.
(3)  Installation of the Windows 9x Print Driver.
(4)  Configuration of the printer driver.
