When selected, the scanner can only be used to upload files to the FTP home directory.  If not 
selected, both uploads and downloads are possible. 

When selected, the FTP service will allow anonymous logins  (where the user name is 
“anonymous” and the password is a valid email address).  This option is required for older 
scanners that do not support a more secure FTP login. 

When selected, the Secure Account options become available allowing you to apply a more secure 
(non-anonymous) FTP login.  You can either select the “Auto Generate User and Password” 
option which will automatically generate the User ID and Password,  or you can specify a User ID 
and Password using 6-32 characters. 

 

User Name / Password can only be a combination of English letters (a-z or A-Z), digits (0-9), 
space, and punctuation marks.
