3. In the case of connecting to Power Macintosh.
When you are going to the monitor to a Power Macintosh, use the
adapter for Macintosh which is supplied with this monitor. Secure the
signal cable and adapter with the screws.
There is no need to use the adapter for Macintosh if the computer
you use is a Power Macintosh G3 model (Blue & White) machine.
Regarding the display mode settings, make sure to select the reso-
lution and frequency (refer to the signal timing list) compatible with
this monitor from the control panel.
4. In the case of using the analog RGB terminal 2
Slide the stand rear cover at the back of the monitor downward to
remove it from the monitor. Connect the signal cable to the analog
RGB input terminal 2 inside the cover. Secure the signal cable
with the screws. The signal cable should be purchased separately.
(Sharp QCNW-0044FTZZ is recommended.)
Reinstall the stand rear cover.
Switch over the input signals using the INPUT button on the front
side.
Automatic screen adjustment
When the monitor is set up for the first time or when any setting of the
system has been changed, perform the automatic screen adjustment;
the settings of [CLOCK], [PHASE], [H-POS], and [V-POS] are auto-
matically optimized.
When the automatic screen adjustment is performed, the entire
screen needs to display a bright image.
Perform the automatic screen adjustment in the following manner:
Press the MENU button once.
[Menu 1] appears on the screen.
Make sure that MANUAL has been selected from the ADJUST-
MENT menu options.
Press the   button to select AUTO.
The screen becomes darker and [ADJUSTING] appears on the
screen.
In a few seconds, the screen returns to normal and the menu
appears.
The setup is over by finishing the automatic screen adjustment, Usu-
ally the monitor is properly adjusted by performing the automatic
screen adjustment. However, if you need a fine adjustment, adjust the
screen manually, using the adjustment disk supplied with the monitor.
For the procedure for carrying out a fine adjustment, refer to the
paragraph "Manual screen adjustment.
Note:
·
You cannot make the automatic screen adjustment in some
cases, for instance, when the entire screen looks extremely
dark. When the automatic screen adjustment does not function
properly, the message [OUT OF ADJUST] appears on the
screen, and the settings of the screen remain unchanged. In
such a case, get the screen to have a bright image on its entire
surface and try to carry out the automatic screen adjustment
again, or adjust manually.
·
If the video signal from the computer is a composite sync. or
sync.-on-green, the automatic adjustment might function
properly. If this is the case, carry out a fine adjustment
manually.
·
In the case where the display mode is a resolution lower than
1280 x 1024 dots, dark areas might remain around the image
on the screen, but this is not a failure.
