OVERVIEW
Up to ninety-nine keyboards may be specified on the system to allow for different sale
requirements for different terminal locations on the site, for example, bar, restaurant or
checkout.  Having specified the keyboard number, the model of Sharp Terminal
(UP5700/UP5300/UP5900) is then selected. Using the keyboard key ‘Change Screen’ the
screen definition can be changed during trading. A default screen number must also be set in

The keys can be allocated onto the screens using this function. A maximum of 99 pre-set
PLU’s, 90 terminal functions, 16 payment types, 99 list keys, 10 pre-set server keys, 99 macro
keys, and the system control keys can be allocated to the terminal.
A report showing the keys allocated for each keyboard and terminal may be printed in turn.
The way in which the keys are allocated to the keyboard is the same for both the A880 and the
UP5700/UP5300/UP5900 terminals.
Sharp UP5700/UP5300/UP5900 Terminal
The keys on the UP5700/UP5300/UP5900 terminals are not allocated to a specific number on
the keyboard itself, but each key position has a reserved amount of space on the touch screen.
The block of keys reserved for items is displayed in the upper left area of the touch screen, and
the block of keys reserved for functions is displayed in the lower central are of the touch
screen. Please note that both areas may include left and right arrows for scrolling.
