6. Mouse pointer / cursor 

Q. I have installed the Sharp POS software onto my laptop, is it possible to show 
the mouse pointer? 

A. Yes, on your laptop delete the installed desktop shortcut and make a new 

one: and add the following entries to the short cut tab. 
Target: C:\VPro\Exe\S2008.exe /ZPC@Sharp 
Start in: C:\VPro\Exe 
 

 

7. Upgrading 
Q. Is it possible to upgrade from v3 to v4? 

A. Yes, When upgrading from Version 3 to Version 4 it is a simple matter of 
restoring either an SQL backup or a complete backup previously created on VPM 
V3 into the new VPM V4. 

 
 
8. V3 and V4 
Q. Is it possible to run both v3 and v4 on the same machine? 

A. Yes, V3 installs into the c:\vapp and V4 installs into the c:\Vpro, it is 

recommended to

emove v3 prior to installing v4. 

 

 
9. Volume Control 

Q. How do I control the volume of the Key touch sound? 

A. To change the volume of the key touch sound, you must use the windows 
volume control. A short cut to this file can be placed in the Pos User menu using 

the following path c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe 
 

10. Preset Servers 
Q. On the logged off screen I have 5 preset servers is it possible for these 

buttons to show the server name rather than the default text Server 1  

A. Yes within VPM - Lists select the logged off list and the delete the text from 
each server preset, and the button will now take the text from the Server Name
