UP800 Series
Terminals Freezing
Scanner connection CH2 & In-line system
1. Model:
UP-800 Series ROM Version 1.02
2. General:
It has been reported that the terminals can freeze while
performing a T-Log communication such as calling up
Customer Accounts, on an In-line system while using a
scanner connected to CH2
3. Cause:
This symptom is caused by the connection of Scanner to
Channel 2. This can be avoided by having the Scanner
connected to a channel other than Cannel 2 (1, 3 or 4)
The symptoms will only occur if the In-line system is used.
4. Action:
Please avoid connecting the barcode scanner to CH2.
This issue is a software defect, so a corrective change of
software will be implemented in the next upgrade.
(For the field)
Please avoid connecting the barcode scanner to CH2, if using In-line system.
(For production)
There will be a ROM upgrade, which will incorporate a fix at the next release.
