It is these features that we will cover in this section.
Hardware required.

(Both models have 2 standard RS232 ports,  depending on the scanner used either
of these ports can be used for scanner connection, see hardware guide for details on
the RS232 channels)
(There is no other hardware requirements as the UP600 and UP700 have the
firmware built in ready for scanning setup)
Quick Set Up Guide.
1.  Service Position or PGM 2
2.  Select Device Config
3.  Select BCR (Scanner)
4.  Select Channel 1
5.  All the default settings will allow scanning to take place.
The machines have 2 types of files foe the EAN codes.
There is the standard PLU/EAN file this would allow the user to program the EAN
codes into the machine in the same way that PLU codes are programmed.
There is also the D-EAN this is the Dynamic EAN file.
This will allow an An EAN that has not been programmed into the machine to be
stored in a separate file to the main EANs. When it has been entered in the Reg
position.
The EAN/PLU sales/report file is under the central control of the master terminal.
This happens because the Data is sent back to the Master by T Log Polling.
