MD Editing
To move a track
1
Press the MD button and load a MiniDisc. (See page 36.)

Whilst in the stop mode, select the track you want to move using
the jog dial. Or start playing the track to be moved, and then
press the

 button.

Press the NAME/TOC EDIT button, and within 10 seconds, se-
lect “MOVE” using the jog dial.

Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

Select the new track position using the jog dial.
To cancel the operation, press the 
 button.

Press the ENTER button again.
The track is moved, and the unit is stopped at the beginning of the new track
selected in step 5.
Notes:
When a track has been moved, the other tracks which are affected will be assigned
new track numbers automatically.
This function cannot be used in the random play mode and programmed play mode.
Editing a Recorded MiniDisc (continued)
To divide a track

Press the MD button and load a MiniDisc. (See page 36.)

Play the track which you want to divide into two, and press the

 button at the point where you want to divide the track.

Press the NAME/TOC EDIT button, and within 10 seconds, se-
lect “DIVIDE” using the jog dial.

Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.
To cancel the operation, press the 
 button.

Press the ENTER button again.
The track is divided, and the unit is stopped at the beginning of the second of
the two tracks.
The numbers of the tracks which come after the divided track are automati-
cally increased by one.
Notes:
The two new tracks will have the same name. However, in the TOC FULL condition,
the second track may not be named.
Each disc can hold up to 255 tracks. However, even if the number of assigned tracks
has not reached 254, it might not be possible to make any further divisions of tracks.
This function cannot be used in the random play mode and programmed play mode.
