Turn the jog dial to specify the minute and within 10 seconds,
press the ENTER button.

Turn the jog dial to specify the hour to stop and within 10 sec-
onds, press the ENTER button.

Turn the jog dial to specify the minute and within 10 seconds,
press the ENTER button.
Timer play: Go to step 10.
Timer recording: Go to step 9.

For timer recording, turn the jog dial to select “MD REC” or “TAPE
REC” and within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.

Adjust the volume using the VOLUME buttons.
Do not turn the volume up too high.

Press the CD, MD, TUNER (BAND) or TAPE button to select the
desired function.
To select the timer playback source : CD, MD, TUNER (BAND) or TAPE.
To select the timer recording source : TUNER (BAND).

Press the ON/STAND-BY button to enter the timer stand-by mode.
To cancel the timer playback/timer recording:
1. Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Turn the jog dial to select “TIMER OFF” and then press the ENTER button.
To check the setting time:
1. Press the ON/STAND-BY button to turn the power on.
2. Press the MENU button.
3. Turn the jog dial to select “TIMER PLAY” or “TIMER REC” and then press
the ENTER button.
4. Press the ON/STAND-BY button to enter the timer stand-by mode.

When the preset time is reached, playback or recording will start.
The volume will increase gradually until it reaches the volume you were lis-
tening to before your system enters the timer stand-by mode.

When the timer end time is reached, the system will enter the
power stand-by mode automatically.
If you press the CD   MD, TRACK EDIT or MENU button during timer opera-
tion, the timer mode will be cancelled and playback or recording will last
even when the end time is reached.
Notes:
The system will be turned on 15 seconds (no operation can be accepted during that
time.) before the timer playback and recording preset time to prepare for them.
Actual playback and recording will start from the set time.
When performing timer playback or recording using another unit connected to the
AUX IN or DIGITAL IN sockets, press the AUX button to select “AUX” or “AUX OPT”
in step 11. At this time, only this stereo system will be turned on or enter the power
stand-by mode automatically. (Another unit will not be turned on or turned off.)
To change the setting time:
Perform “Timer playback/Timer recording” from the beginning.
