Macro Programming
The Power button may be programmed to
send out a sequence of up to ten com-

to turn on a number of products, and have
a program source turn to a favorite
channel or any other command. In
addition, a separate set of macro
command steps may be programmed for
audio devices and video devices.
Note that only buttons preprogrammed or
manually programmed can be used for
macro programming.
To program a macro into the Power
button, follow these steps:
1. Press either the
AVR

program one Power macro, or the
SAT
Device Control Selector
c
to
program another Power macro, and the
Mute

at the same time until
the red light under the
Device
Control Selector
turns on and the
Program/Command Indicator
a
lights red.
• When you press the

4. When all steps, up to ten, have been
entered, press the
Channel Up

Erasing a Power Button Macro

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the macro
programming was made with the
AVR

the
Power
button

the power of any Audio device (AVR, CD,
Tape) even not of the AVR35RDS itself.
Pressing the Power button after any Audio
device was selected by the appropriate

will
always play the macro programmed. The
same is with all Video devices (SAT, TV,
VCR) if the macro was made with the
