1. SERVICE  NOTE
1-1.  POWER SUPPLY DURING REPAIRS
In this unit, about 10 seconds after power is supplied to the battery terminal using the regulated power supply (8.4 V), the power is shut off so that 
the unit cannot operate.
These following method is available to prevent this.
Method:
Use the AC power adaptor.
1-2.  PRECAUTION ON REPLACING THE VC-1016 BOARD
Note the following when replacing the board.
DESTINATION DATA
When you replace to the repairing board, the written destination data of repairing board also might be changed to original setting.
Start the Adjust Manual in the Adjust Station and execute the “DESTINATION DATA WRITE”.
After the board replacement, the error of the built-in recording media may be displayed. In this case, execute the [DESTINATION DATA WRITE] 
then the error will be cleared. If it is not cleared with [DESTINATION DATA WRITE], format the built-in recording media.
USB SERIAL SAVE
When you replace to the repairing board, get the data from the former one.
Start the Adjust Manual in the Adjust Station and perform “USB SERIAL SAVE” to get the data.
USB Serial No. and Product ID
The unit is shipped after an ID (USB Serial No.) unique to each unit and an ID (Product ID) unique to each model have been written.
These IDs have not been written in a new board for service, and therefore they must be entered after the board replacement.
After the board has been replaced with a board for service, start the Adjust Manual in the Adjust Station and execute the “PRODUCT ID & USB 
SERIAL No. INPUT” and enter these IDs.
Note:  A newly entered Product ID is not always equal to the ID before board replacement. If the new ID differs from the previous ID, it may cause a difference 
from the ID registered by the customer.
EVF WB Adjustment data value
WB adjustment values of each EVF display device are stored on the VC board.
Therefore, when the EVF block or the VC board has been replaced, write WB adjustment values.

1-3.  PRECAUTION ON REPLACING THE EVF BLOCK
When replacing the EVF block, you must perform adjustment by Adjust manual.
At this time, the adjusting data (PITCH/YAW and OLED rank) printed on the replacement EVF block label are needed. Write down them.

YAW data
When replacing VC board (in case the adjustment values can be read):
1.  In case the unrepaired unit starts and adjustment values can be read by using the Adjust manual, execute “ADJUSTMENT DATA BACKUP” on 
the DATA tab.
2.  After the VC board has been replaced, execute “ADJUSTMENT DATA BACKUP” on the DATA tab of the Adjust manual to write the extracted 
data to the unit.
When replacing VC board (in case the adjustment values cannot be read):
Note: In case the adjustment value of VC board cannot be read, replace both the VC board and the EVF block.
1.  Check and write down the adjustment values printed on the EVF block label.
2.  Replace both the VC board and the EVF block.
3.  Execute the all adjustment items that are needed when replacing the VC board and EVF block by Adjust manual.
When replacing the EVF block only
1.  Check and write down the adjustment values printed on the EVF block label.
2.  Replace the EVF block.
3.  Execute “EVF Adj”, “EVF OLED Adj” and “EVF WB Adj” on the ADJUST tab by using the Adjust manual to write the adjustment values.
