Note on the Remote Commander
Your camcorder works in the commander mode
VTR 2. Commander modes 1, 2 and 3 are used to
distinguish your camcorder from other Sony
VCRs to avoid erroneous remote control
operation. If you use another Sony VCR in the
commander mode VTR 2, we recommend
changing the commander mode or covering the
sensor of the VCR with black paper.

If your VCR is a monaural type
Connect the yellow plug of the A/V connecting
cable to the video output jack and the white or
the red plug to the audio output jack on the VCR
or the TV. When the white plug is connected, the
left channel audio is output, and when the red
plug is connected, the right channel audio is
output.

If your VCR has an S video jack
See page 59 for details.

Note
Your camcorder only records pictures for
viewing on a PAL system-based TV and VCR.
See “Using your camcorder abroad” on page 276
for the TV colour systems used in each country
and area.

When using the i.LINK cable
•Before recording, make sure if the DV IN

indicator appears on the screen. The DV IN
indicator may appear on both equipment.

•Recording of only the picture or sound cannot

be done.

Remarque sur la télécommande
Le caméscope utilise le mode de télécommande
VTR 2. Les modes de télécommande 1, 2 et 3
permettent de distinguer le caméscope d’autres
magnétoscopes/caméscopes Sony et d’éviter les
interférences de télécommande. Si vous utilisez
un autre magnétoscope/caméscope Sony avec le
mode de télécommande VTR 2, il sera préférable
de changer le mode de télécommande ou de
masquer le capteur infrarouge du magnétoscope
avec du papier noir.

Si votre magnétoscope est de type
monophonique
Raccordez la fiche jaune du cordon de liaison
audio/vidéo à la prise de sortie vidéo et la fiche
blanche ou la fiche rouge à la prise de sortie
audio du magnétoscope ou du téléviseur.
Lorsque la fiche blanche est raccordée, le son du
canal gauche est fourni et lorsque la fiche rouge
est raccordée, le son du canal droit est fourni.

Si votre magnétoscope est pourvu d’une prise
S-vidéo

Remarque
Les images enregistrées par ce caméscope ne
peuvert être vues que sur un téléviseur ou
magnétoscope PAL.

Lorsque vous utilisez un câble i.LINK
•Avant la copie, assurez-vous que l’indicateur

DV IN apparaît bien à l’écran. L’indicateur DV
IN peut apparaître sur les deux appareils.

•Il n’est pas possible d’enregistrer seulement

l’image ou le son.
