3-1-3. Precautions in Adjustment
1)
The adjustments of this unit are performed in the VTR mode
or camera mode.
To set to the VTR mode, set the power switch to “VTR” (or
PLAYER) or set the “Forced VTR Power ON Mode” using the
adjustment remote commander (Note 1).
To set to the camera mode, set the power switch to “CAMERA”
or set the “Forced Camera Power ON Mode” using the
adjustment remote commander (Note 2).
After completing the adjustments, be sure to exit the “Forced
VTR Power ON Mode” or “Forced Camera Power ON Mode”.

The viewfinder need not be connected (except during battery
end adjustment). Disconnect the following connector when
adjusting.
1. CN1000 of VC-199 board (20P, 0.5mm, B-B)

The lens block need not be connected in adjustments other than
the camera system adjustments (except during battery end
adjustment). Disconnect the following connector when
adjusting.
1. CN200 of VC-199 board (50P, 0.5mm, B-B)

If ejection need not be performed, the FK-4850 control switch
block (power switch, eject switch, start/stop switch, VTR
function switch) need not be connected as long as the “Forced
Power ON Mode” is set.
Disconnect the following connector when removing it.
1. CN2300 of VC-199 board (20P, 0.5mm)
After completing adjustments, be sure to exit the “Forced Power
ON Mode”.

When opening the MR-39 board, use the following extension
cord.
1. J-6082-374-A (18P, 0.5mm)

When removing the cabinet (R) (DD-103 board, LCD block,
microphone, speaker, ME-4850 switch block), only the DD-
103 board will need to be connected to operate the unit. Remove
the DD-103 board from the cabinet (R), and connect it to
CN6200 of the VC-199 board (60P, 0.5 mm, B-B) and CN6102
of the MR-39 board (30P, 0.5mm, B-B). When removing the
LCD block, microphone, speaker, and ME-4850 switch block,
disconnect the following connectors.
1. CN2301 of VC-199 board (5P, 0.5 mm)
(ME-4850 switch block)
2. CN4700 of VC-199 board (4P, 1.0 mm) (microphone)
3. CN4701 of VC-199 board (2P, 1.0 mm) (speaker)
4. CN1001 of VC-199 board (6P, 1.0 mm) (LCD block)
5. CN1002 of VC-199 board (11P, 1.0 mm) (LCD block)

If the DD-103 board is disconnected from the VC-199 board,
the lithium 3V power supply will also be disconnected and all
data set by the user such as date, time, menu, etc. will be erased.
Set these data again after completing the adjustments.
Note 1 :
How to enter the “forced VTR power ON” mode:
1) Set page : 0, address : 01, data : 01.
2) Set page : D, address : 10, data : 02, and press the
PAUSE button of the adjustment remote commander.
If the “forced VTR power ON mode” is established,
the VTR power can be turned ON, even though the
CABINET (R) ASSY is removed.  After completing
adjustments, be sure to exit the “forced power ON
mode”.

How to enter the “forced camera + VTR power ON” mode
(camera mode) :
1) Set page : 0, address : 01,  data : 01.
2) Set page : D, address : 10, data : 03, and press the
PAUSE button of the adjustment remote commander.
If the “forced VTR power ON mode” is established,
the camera power can be turned ON, even though the
CABINET (R) ASSY is removed.  After completing
adjustments, be sure to exit the “forced power ON
mode”.
Note 3 :
How to exit the “forced power ON mode”:
1) Set page : 0, address : 01, data : 01.
2) Set page : D, address : 10, data : 00, and press the
PAUSE button of the adjustment remote commander.
3) Set page : 0, address : 01, data : 00.

Adjusting Connectors
Some of the adjusting pints of the video section are concentrated at
CN6202 of the VC-199 board. Remove the battery plate and connect
the measuring instruments via the CPC-6 jig (J-6082-370-A) and
the CPC-6 terminal board jig (J-6082-371-A). The following table
lists the pin numbers and signal names of CN6202.
