1-4.  AIR-LEAK TEST
Ordinary checking procedure is no longer used. Be sure to follow the new checking proce-
dure described below.
1-4-1. Inspection Procedure (Compressor Type)
1-4-1-1. Measuring Reference Values of the Tester
Before starting the air leak test, check reference values of the compressor-type air leak tester.
Checking procedure
Conduct the air leak test with the air leak tester placed on a flat plate (such as a glass plate on the table).
1.  Turn on the air-leak tester.
2.  Hold the vacuum pad on flat surface, set the air switch to “open”, and adjust the pressure to around -5.0 by turning the pressure adjustment knob.

Inspection pressure: -45.0 ± 3.0 kPa

3.  Check that no dust is present on the vacuum pad and the flat plate (such as a glass plate on the table), and push the vacuum pad perpendicularly
against the flat plate to stick the vacuum pad.

Do not keep pressing it to the glass plate.
Do not touch the tube during the measurement, or measurement
value may be changed.
Perform the measurement under no vibration.
It may cause the air-leak under the condition with vibration.
4.  Wait 30 seconds with keeping the pressure at near -5.0 kPa.
5.  Wait 30 seconds with setting air switch to “close”, and record the indicated value (A).
6.  Leave the air leak tester for another 60 seconds, and record the indicated value (B).
