The PrintLog Accounting Server (PAS) NetWare print server 
enables accounting on NetWare print servers by monitoring 
printing and reporting printer usage to a PAS accounting server.

This guide is intended to help you to install and configure a 
PAS NetWare print server. It is assumed that you are familiar 
with NetWare and Windows network administration. 

Before installing a PAS NetWare print server, configure PAS 
Enterprise Edition (EE) on your network. For information on 
installing and configuring PAS, please see the PAS Administra-
tor’s Guide.

Note: Any references to Windows servers in this document apply to 

both Windows NT and Windows 2000 operating systems.

The PAS NetWare print server supports:

• Network print-tracking and charging for both NDPS and 

Queue-based print devices shared on a NetWare print 
server

• NetWare NDPS and Queue-based printing
• Use of pop-up billing codes (except for Macintosh)
• Use of pop-up for Professional Client billing (except for 

Macintosh).

• User authentication for Macintosh clients through the use 

of SM Macintosh Services through an existing LPD setup
