Using the MX-PE12
To force a system shutdown
•
Press and hold down the power button on the MX-PE12 for five seconds, until the green light goes out and the
system powers off.
To reboot or restart the MX-PE12
1 If necessary, press the Menu button on the printer panel and select Fiery.
2 Press the icon on the lower left corner of the printer touch panel, and select Tools > Restart Server.

3 When prompted, enter the administrator password and press Login.
The default password for administrator is Fiery.1 (case-sensitive). The site administrator may have changed this
password.
Important: If the MX-PE12 is unresponsive and it is not possible to shut down the system from the printer, use
this procedure to force a system shutdown. Force a shutdown only as a last resort, when the normal shutdown
method is unavailable.
