i. Removal of grate-shaped lower guide
1) Remove the ten screws [1], and remove the grate-shaped

j. Removal of stapling tray
1) Remove the snap [1] at four positions, and remove the sensor

CAUTION: The sensor flag arm is easily broken. When removing it,

2) Remove the E-ring [4], gear [5], parallel pin [6], E-ring [7], and

CAUTION: When the gear [5] is removed, the parallel pin [6] falls.
Be careful not to lose it.

Disconnect all the connectors [9] of the finisher controller PCB.

Release the pawl [13] of the clutch [12] on the back of the

Remove the E-ring [14] and the bearing [15], and remove the

Disconnect the connector [16], and remove the harness from
the clamp and the edge saddle [17].

Remove the two screws [18], and pull out the stapling tray [19]

CAUTION: When removing parts in the stapling tray, do not apply a
force to the alignment plates (front/back) and the three
positions on the rear edge regulation plate.
