REMOVE
THE
HDD
1.
If you are removing the HDD in order to replace it with a new one, print the following

Shut down the Fiery AR-PE2 as described on page 3-1 and power off the copier.

Remove the top plate and the cover plate to gain access to the HDD (see Figure 3-1 on
page 3-2).

Remove the four screws that secure the HDD to the board through the four holes on the
bottom side of the chassis.

If a screw falls into the chassis, do not shake the chassis to remove the screw.

Remove the HDD from board connector J207.

Handle the HDD with care and place it in an antistatic bag.
Do not touch the HDD with magnetic objects, such as magnetic screwdrivers. Do not
place items near the hard disk drive that are sensitive to magnets, such as credit cards and
employee ID cards. See “Proper handling” on page 3-15.
