Ethernet Speed
Normally, the default setting of Auto Detect is used. The ARPE1 will then automatically
determine the speed needed to work on the network. If any connection problems are
experienced, change this setting to match the speed of the HUB being used. Press the
OK key to continue.
Select Exit Port Setup.
Select Protocol Setup, then TCP/IP Setup, and then Ethernet Setup.
Enable TCP/IP for Ethernet
Select Yes and press the OK key.
Enable auto IP configuration
Select Yes only if a DHCP server is being used.  Otherwise, select No and press the OK
key.
IP Address
Fill in with a unique IP Address that conforms to the Windows workgroup IP addressing
scheme and press the OK key.  This message and the next two messages will not appear
if Yes was selected for Enable auto IP configuration.
Subnet Mask
Enter the subnet mask used by the Windows workgroup and press the OK key.  After the
TCP/IP successfully bound to Ethernet” message appears, press the OK key.
If a gateway is used on the network, select Gateway Setup, enter the IP address of the
gateway and press the OK key.
Select Exit TCP/IP Setup, then Exit Protocol Setup.
Under Network Setup, Select Service Setup, and then select Windows Setup. Follow
through the settings below.
Enable Windows Printing
Select Yes to allow the AR-PE1 to announce itself on the network.  Press the OK key.
After the “Binding TCP/IP to Ethernet.  Please wait…” message clears, Use WINS Name
Server
 will be displayed: Select Yes if a Windows Internet Name Service Server (WINS) is
in use on the network.  Otherwise, select No.  Press the OK key.
WINS Server IP Address
Enter the IP address of the WINS server if one is being used, and press the OK key.  This
message will not appear if No was entered in the previous step.
Server Name
This is the same name that was set under ‘Server Setup-Server Name’. The two settings
are linked. This name must be unique to the network. Press the OK key after entering or
editing the NetBIOS name.
