Introduction
System requirements
To install the Fiery X4 user software on a Windows or Mac OS computer, the
computer must be equipped with a built-in or external CD-ROM drive.

Windows
To print to the Fiery X4, you need:
• A Windows-based computer with an 80486, AMD, or Pentium processor
• Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0
• At least 16MB of RAM
With Microsoft Windows 95/98, you also need:
• IPX/SPX or TCP/IP networking protocol installed
• Adobe PostScript Printer Driver for Windows version 4.2 or later (version 4.2.4 is
included with the user software)
With Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, you also need:
• TCP/IP or AppleTalk networking protocol installed
• Adobe PostScript Printer Driver for Windows NT 4.0 version 5.0 (version 5.1 is
included with the user software)
To use the Fiery utilities (Fiery Downloader, ColorWise Pro Tools, and Fiery Link) you
also need:
