2.1 Introduction
This document is intended to guide the reader through the installation of a Windows 98 Pre-
installed hard disk drive on the Sharp UP-5350 Although this document gives step by step
instructions it is recommended that the whole document is read before attempting to
configure the system.

2.2 Installation
•
Fit Hard disk into UP5350
•
Power on the UP5350
•
When prompted enter your
first and second names
•
Press
Next
•
When prompted with the mouse tutorial press
escape
•
Enter the supplied Win98 registration number
xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx
•
Press
Finish
•
Clear any errors that might occur.
•
When Prompted set the Time zone to be :-
(GMT) Greenwich Mean Time : Dublin, Edinburgh, Lisbon, London
•
Press
Apply then OK then Shutdown the UP5350
•
Fit the Network card and configure (as shown below)
