A list that is enabled as an ‘Active Server Display’ list will display each server configured in the
system, the current till number (or handheld number) where they are currently logged on and
also if they are logged off, including any outstanding overlapped amount in a bar transaction. This
information is updated in real time across the network.

The Active Server Display option is available within any VentaPro list, each button representing 1
server. The button colour can change according to whether the server is logged on or not.
The button is divided into 4 lines.
Line 1 contains the server name.
Line 2 contains the server number.
Line 3 contains the till number (e.g. Till 3) or Hand-Held number (e.g. HH 10), or ‘-‘ if the server
is not logged on.
Line 4 contains the overlap amount.

Only configured servers are displayed, e.g. if only servers 1,2,3 and 5 are configured, the fourth
button will display server 5.

The Active Server Display can then be activated by normal list activation from another list button.

To configure an Active Server Display, create a list with sufficient pages to accommodate all
servers in the system, e.g. with 100 servers and a 5X4 list, 5 pages are necessary.

VPM now has an additional setting ‘List Type’ on the List Headers tab. For an Active Server
Display, choose ‘Active Server Display’ as the type.

To change the colours used to display the various pieces of information, the following convention
is used:

For a logged on server, the background colour is taken from the 1

For a logged off server, the background colour is taken from the 2

 list item background.

For a non-existent server (only possible as last buttons on last list page) the background colour is
taken from the 3

 list item background.

Furthermore, the foreground colour, font and alignment of the top line (name) is taken from the

Do not assign any function or list etc to the buttons (If required an EXIT list button can be
assigned). Any button with an assigned operation will not be used for active server display.

The colours and formats of buttons after the fourth button on the first page are irrelevant (unless
an operation is assigned to them).

It is also possible to log any of the servers on from the Active Server Display screen, For security
reasons Function 113 “Server Switch” has been added.

Example
