34. GC Receipt after NBAL/FINAL  
Q. After NBAL or Final the GCRECEIPT does not work, It works ok after a normal 
transaction.  

A. Service line 986B was set to a 1 change this to be 986B=4 or 5 or 6 
 

35. Clerk Sign On by Mag Card 
Q. Can I use a mag card reader to sign on by clerk.  

A. Yes, a mag card reader can be fitted and used as an Auto key card , Clerk 
sign on card, or Customer card 
 

36. Clerk Auto Sign Off  
Q. Is it possible to have Clerk Auto Sign-Off? 

A.  Yes, you can set a timeout (in secs) in PGM > Terminal > AUTO SIGN OFF 

 

37. Cumulated Display

Q. Can the item QTY be consolidated in the RCPT window? 

A. Yes, this can be set in PGM2 > OPTIONAL > DISPLAY SELECT > YES or NO 
 

Q. I want to use the TRANS RECALL feature however when I view the 
transactions my terminal only stores the last transaction. 

A. This was because the File setting for Trans Recall was set to 50/50 

The second number entry refers to the number of lines of print that can be 
stored and must have a minimum of 1000 before correct storage. Please select 
to approx 1000 or more   
 

39. Auto Key Problem (Only ROM 1.00) 
Q. The Auto keys for the REPORTS do not seem to work correctly they do not go 
past the Mode screen. 

A. Unfortunately there is an issue with ROM V1.00 please upgrade your ROM 
version to V1.01. 
 

40. BACKUP using Serial Cable 
Q. Is it possible to perform a BACKUP RECEIVE and BACKUP SEND on the 
UP3500, without using the SD card? 

A. Yes, you can use the APLD serial cable on CH1 the complete data transfer 

takes about 15 minutes.
